I hear this complaint from a lot of different marketers who when from 4M monthly impressions to 300k in the past 1 year. As the Pinterest algorithm is getting smarter, all the greyhat techniques look like a thing of the past. Here are some of the advanced strategies which work in 2022. I am calling them advance as I am not covering basic topics like how to create pins or keywords in descriptions etc.

Create Video Ads - Video ads perform 10 times better than basic product posts.
Create Rich Pins - If you are an e-commerce store, change your location to the US and get rich pins for your store. If not e-commerce, would really suggest you create a store without a cart to get rich pins. The shop pins bring a lot of direct sales and get automatically tagged in famous pins where your products look similar.
Pingroupie Paid Version - Take it for a month or two. Find group boards in your niche and join the ones with a request button. For the rest, you can hire a VA in cheap to send 30 requests every day. Joining even a good group board with a genuine following can be a game-changer for you.
Top Pins - Again, with pin groupie, you can analyze the top pins of your industry and change your strategy accordingly.
Image Strategy: Vertical images and infographics still work the best in long run but images with a white background mostly get auto-tagged in different images by AI. Most of the people who come through white background images of products do have a commercial intent.
Group Board: Start your own group board, and invite a lot of people from your industry. Monitor it closely for spam. Once you have decent followers, mention your brand URL in the board bio.
Analytics: Keep a very close eye on monthly analytics to see which group boards give you the maximum clicks and which type of pins naturally gets the maximum repins.
