7 Ways To Future-Proof Your SEO!

(With Audio Version)

If you are really busy, there is an audio version of the same above, that you can listen to while working out or driving or whenever you listen to a podcast.

7 Ways to future-proof your SEO Strategy!

Before we go into how let’s talk about why?

  1. Google updates: Whatever is a grey hat strategy right now becomes a black hat technique after few years.

  2. Fewer Search Clicks: As we are seeing a pattern of zero-click searches (where people consume huge information without actually visiting the website), it will become hard to bring people in on informational queries to sell products.

Let’s talk about the 7 Best strategies to tackle this problem.

  1. Branding: The most apparent strategy is to create a brand name in the market where people come directly looking for your brand on google. The more brand searches you have, the better CTR you can expect.
(For example: If I consume most of my content from healthline, it shows me healthline in search more than webmd whereas it’s vice versa in incognito tab)

  2. Build Resources: Build resources which people would like to bookmark. A lot of AI’s are writing the blog with repurposing current information. However, very few people care about creating a resource like simple calculators, codes, or how-to tutorials that do not exist in the search.

  3. Topical Authority: If one of your products on your website is rugs, then your goal should be to answer every single query that is there about rugs in the market via written content. No amount of backlinks can beat topical authority with a smart internal link strategy.
(In case you missed out on my last video on internal linking strategy, here it is.)

  4. Technical SEO: Anything bad for the User experience is either already a google update or will be in the future.
Keep it simple. Keep it fast. Keep it easy to consume.

  5. Backlinks: Be very careful where you are getting your backlinks from. My few rules for checking if it’s a good backlink or not are

    • Is it a topical, relevant website to my products/services?

    • Do they have high organic traffic which looks natural? (Not DA but traffic).

    • How many times do I see this website in SERP while doing my keyword research?

    • Can I expect a good amount of referral traffic from this link, or is it just a backlink on a blog that no one is going to read anyway?

  6. Disavow: Once in 6 months, disavow all the spam links from the search console. I know a lot of SEO’s say that google automatically nullifies the spam links, but I believe it does help in checking link quality.

  7. Be Everywhere: Don’t just depend on SEO. Ideally, your 60% traffic should be from searches and the rest from all the other social media and paid ads. For example, being an Insta famous or Twitter famous brand only helps in SEO and brand searches.
